SANTA CLARA, CA—Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank says that NBA champion and Admiral Capital Group co-founder David Robinson will host an open house to introduce local real estate brokers to a transit-oriented, 75,000-square-foot, premier headquarters building lease opportunity.

Located at 4500 Great America Parkway inside the Golden Triangle of Highways 101, 237 and 880 in Santa Clara, the stand-alone office building is within walking distance of the future San Francisco 49ers stadium and VTA light rail station.
Co-founded in 2007 by Robinson and Daniel Bassichis, Admiral generously pledges 10% of the firm's profits to philanthropic causes in the communities where it invests, building on Robinson's lifetime commitment to support education and lower income communities.
"We are excited to introduce 4500 Great America to the Silicon Valley marketplace," said Robinson. "It has been a pleasure working with USAA and South Bay on the transformation of this building into a premium, well-managed and accessible home for a local company in this vibrant market."
Admiral purchased 4500 Great America in December of 2012, and formed a joint venture with Silicon Valley-based South Bay Development Co. in June of 2013 to recapitalize and renovate the property. Extensive exterior and interior improvements are now complete, and outdoor collaboration spaces have been built into new landscaping features.
C&CCNKF's Todd Shaffer, managing director, together with Mike Saign, vice president, represent Admiral and South Bay Development Co. in the lease offering.
4500 Great America is Admiral's first venture in Northern California. San Antonio-based Admiral, in partnership with USAA Real Estate Company, currently manages over $250 million of assets.
“Admiral continues to identify value-add opportunities through equity and debt investments in office, hotel, multi-family and retail properties valued between $15 million and $50 million in major markets nationally,” said Bassichis. “We are extremely pleased with our first foray into Bay Area real estate, and anticipate sourcing and securing new opportunities with operating partners in the area. We are eager to grow our business here.”
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Robinson is a ten-time NBA All Star, two-time NBA World Champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist and basketball Hall of Famer. He has a 25-year history of charitable work and in 2001 notably opened the Carver Academy, a high performing grade school in an area of high need in San Antonio and which recently joined the IDEA Public Schools network of charter schools.
