SAN FRANCISCO—Wells Fargo Securities says Gregory Wolkom has been named head of the Real Estate Syndicated Finance Group, overseeing the syndication of commercial real estate transactions, and partnering closely with Wells Fargo's Commercial Real Estate business on origination of those transactions.

He will be based in San Francisco, reporting to Frank Pizzo, head of the Loan Syndications and High Yield Debt Capital Markets Group.
"Greg brings a wealth of knowledge and deep client relationships to the Wells Fargo Securities platform and real estate syndications team," said Pizzo. "Under his leadership, we will continue to build on our strong foundation and seek new opportunities to deliver value to our clients."
Wolkom has over 25 years of investment and commercial banking experience in the real estate sector. He joined Wells Fargo in 2011 and served as executive vice president of the Hospitality Finance Group, where he was responsible for a large portfolio of balance sheet loans on hotel and leisure assets, publicly traded lodging REITS and C-Corps. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. Wolkom began his career at Bank of America and its predecessor companies where he held a variety of positions in both real estate lending and investment banking, including global head of lodging and leisure investment banking.
Wells Fargo has built the strongest commercial real estate finance platform in the industry and has a deep history and long-standing commitment to the sector.
