MINNEAPOLIS—National mortgage lender Waterstone Mortgage Corp. has just hired Becky Hennessey as an area manager for its Minnesota region. The company, currently based in suburban Maple Grove, plans to deepen its presence throughout the state and just opened a new office in downtown Minneapolis. It currently has almost 700 employees in 22 states.

As area manager, Hennessey will join with area manager Eric Lovins to manage the growing team of mortgage professionals throughout the state. In addition to the new Minneapolis location, Waterstone has offices in Maple Grove, Woodbury, Savage, Cambridge and Elk River. It also plans to expand its Minnesota operations center and hire additional underwriters and closers to support an increase in business.

Hennessey is a veteran mortgage executive with over 29 years of experience in sales, operations, and marketing. She also has background in strategic planning, client relationship management, business development, and project management.

"Waterstone Mortgage has seen strong growth in Minnesota and we see a tremendous business opportunity in Minneapolis," says Eric Egenhoefer, president and chief executive officer of Waterstone. "With the addition of our construction lending and bank portfolio loan programs, and coupled with a strong real estate market, we expect that this trend will continue. I am confident that Becky Hennessey will play an integral role in our continued growth.”

Waterstone Mortgage provides FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans, one-time close construction financing, portfolio lending products, jumbo products, and condo financing.
