CARLSTADT, NJ—Cathay Home will open its first warehouse and distribution facility here in 50,000 square feet at 90 Triangle Boulevard, a Prologis-owned industrial property.

Cathay Home, a manufacturer of linens and bedding, had originally leased 20,000 square feet at a different Prologis property in Carlstadt – but then its e-commerce business “exploded,” said NAI Hanson's Jeffrey W. DeMagistris. He, Thomas A. Vetter and Nicholas Herrick represented the tenant.

“In recent months, the company realized it required more than twice the square footage,” DeMagistris said. “Fortunately, Prologis had a 50,000-square-foot building available in the same neighborhood.”

He said the deal reflects the continued tightening of the northern New Jersey industrial market, especially in the Meadowlands.

Cathay Home has headquarters in New York.
