CHARLESTON, SC—CampusWorks Development is kicking off an urban, off-campus student housing community that may turn student heads. The Charlotte-based student housing developer just kicked off construction on a 430 bed project serving College of Charleston.

Dubbed 930 NoMo, the student housing project is a joint venture partnership with Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors and Kaplan Residential. PNC Real Estate is the senior lender. The project is set to open its doors in time for the fall 2015 academic school year.

Located in the North Morrison District on the Charleston peninsula, 930 NoMo is rising from 2.5 acres of dirt next to the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge on the Cooper River. The student housing project will include a 6,500-square-foot clubhouse, 10,000-square-foot pool terrace, 9,000-square-foot elevated courtyards, waterfront views, and community balconies with a rooftop terrace.
