SHAFTER, CA—American Tire Distributors has broken ground on a 1 million-square-foot distribution center here.
The company signed a lease early this year with Roll Real Estate for the 45-acre property. The lease is for 20 years and valued at more than $119 million.
Completion of the project is expected by year's end, and it will add about 80 jobs to the local economy, according to Roll Real Estate.
