KLH Engineers Starts Energy Eff. Unit

CINCINNATI—Kohrs Lonnemann Heil Engineers, one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering firms in the Midwest, has just launched a new business unit to help architects, developers, and building owners increase energy efficiency and reduce operating expenses.

Called KLH Energy Solutions, it has six offices in the Cincinnati metro area, Kentucky, New York, Ohio, and California. It will provide a variety of services nationwide, including:

• Building commissioning and retro-commissioning
• Energy modeling
• Energy audits
• Energy Star certification
• LEED certification consulting
• Rebate and incentive consulting
• Performance measurement and verification
• Project management

KLH officials cite a recent study by Pike Research, which found that the energy management market will grow into a $5.6 billion industry by 2020.
