HOUSTON–PinPoint Commercial will break ground on Woodland Creek on April 24. The $250 million mixed-use development is minutes from the new Exxon Mobil corporate campus.

Located within The Woodlands, this 75-acre site will include residential, office and retail space. The beginning phase of development will include the construction of drainage, utility and paving improvements. Project infrastructure will complete before the end of this year, while the entire project is on a five- to six- year plan.

“Our goal is to create a best-in-class mixed-use development,” says John Thompson, CEO and president of PinPoint Commercial.

Exact details of the entire project have not yet been released, but there are initial plans in place for two office buildings, totaling 444,000 square feet, with 52,000 square feet of retail space. Company executives tell GlobeSt.com, there is room for additional office space on a build-to-suit basis. The residential square footage has not been disclosed undisclosed.

Woodland Creek is not the only new residential project to be launching in the area around Exxon Mobil's campus. As GlobeSt.com reported, Oden Hughes has broken ground on Parkside Place, a 384-unit apartment community on the northwest corner FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Road.

The sheer magnitude of the new thre million square foot campus creates a dynamic impact, a company executive tells GlobeSt.com.  Multi-family and single family demand is being fueled by the strong commercial development in the area, even prior to the announcement of Exxon Mobil's campus.
