PHOENIXThanks to a unique outreach effort led by Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority, Able Aerospace Services and SRP, aerospace leaders attending MRO Americas convention in Phoenix gained a birds-eye view of the Valley's many expansion and relocation opportunities—courtesy of a VIP aerial helicopter tour and visit to Able Aerospace Services, a $20 million build-to-suit success story at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

“This was a truly unique way for us to share Greater Phoenix's regional assets with aerospace leaders from across the globe,” says Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport business development director Michael Merk. “In the span of about 100 minutes, we were able to showcase the best and brightest of our public and private development and expansion opportunities—from the sky and from the state-of-the-art Able Aerospace Services operation that has made Gateway Airport a true manufacturing destination.”

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is home to 1.5 million square feet of airport, office and industrial space, including 100,000 square feet of available space. The airport has an additional 1,000 acres of land available for industrial, aviation-related office, retail and hotel development. Gateway also hosts foreign trade and military re-use zoning benefits. This includes 300 acres in the airport's south industrial park that, at build out, can accommodate up to 2.5 million square feet of manufacturing space. Approximately 50 acres in the south industrial park is improved and shovel-ready for immediate development, with no real estate taxes.
