NEW YORK CITY—CBRE Group has announced that Veracen Partners, RTW Investments & LifeSci Capital and Coltrane Asset Management have signed deals for 11,263 square feet, 7,196 square feet and 4,806 square feet, respectively, at 250 W. 55thSt. CBRE's Christie Harle, Sam Seiler and Peter Turchin represented the landlord, Boston Properties, in all three deals. Veracen was represented by Pamela Parasugo, of Howard Ecker, RTW by Oliver Petrovic of Studley and Coltrane by CBRE's Arkady Smolyansky and Ben Friedland.
Alcoa has signed a lease renewal for two full floors—a total of 21,452 square feet—at 390 Park Ave., which is best known as Lever House. Landlord RFR Realty was represented in-house by Steve Morrows, EVP and director of leasing. The tenant's negotiations were handled by Silvio Petriello and Ben Friedland of CBRE.
The BIG EAST has bounced into a 10-year lease agreement to take 13,742 square feet at 655 Third Ave. Jeffrey Rosenblatt and Bill Harvey with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank served as the BIG EAST's real estate brokers in the transaction. The landlord, the Durst Organization, was represented in-house by Karen Kuznick.
Main Street Hub, a marketing platform, has signed a long-term lease for 13,700 square feet at 1407 Broadway. The 1.1 million-square-foot building, owned by the Lightstone Group in partnership with Lightstone Value Plus REIT, is undergoing renovations and being repositioned towards the technology, media and creative industries. Lightstone was represented by CBRE's Peter Turchin, the exclusive leasing agent for the company, along with colleagues Gregg Rothkin, Amanda Bokman, Ben Fastenberg, Ross Zimbalist and Lee Cross. The services firm's Rob Hill, Brian Hay and Timothy Hay represented Main Street Hub.
Cooper-Horowitz Inc., a CRE mortgage brokerage firm, has leased 10,500 square feet of space at Charles S. Cohen's 622 Third Ave. Marc Horowitz, SVP and director of office leasing, Cohen Brothers Realty Corp., represented the building's ownership in-house in the transaction while the tenant represented itself. Asking rents were $65 per square foot.
SoulCycle has signed a 5,000-square-foot lease to open a new studio at TF Cornerstone's 2 Gold Street. This will be the indoor cycling studio's 10th location in New York City and its first in the Financial District. "SoulCycle is a growing fitness phenomenon and will be a great addition to FiDi where we are seeing high demand for lifestyle amenities," says Sofia Estevez, EVP at TF Cornerstone. "We are thrilled to welcome them to this bustling neighborhood.”
The Shops at SkyView Center, in Flushing, Queens, have signed on specialty retailer the Children's Place for 3,799-square feet. Retailers at the Shops at SkyView Center include Target, BJ's Wholesale Club, Marshall's, Old Navy, adidas, Restoration Hardware, OshKosh B'Gosh, Carter's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Bob's Discount Furniture, Little Lamb, Chuck E. Cheese's and the specialty Asian supermarket Sky Foods. Nordstrom Rack will be opening at the center in fall 2014.
The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, EVP along with Arthur Maglio, of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group has helped Sugar Hill Medical Plaza expand its space at Hillview Towers, 345 W. 145th St., and extend the original lease by nearly five years. The firm's 1,395-square-foot corner space expansion brings the total space leased to 3,561 square feet. The Elliman team exclusively represented both the landlord and the tenant in the deal.
Rose Associates has signed a 15-year lease with TD Bank for 3,428-square-feet at Madison Green, a building on the southeast corner of Broadway and 23rd street. Bruce Spiegel, senior managing director for Rose, represented the property owner in the transaction. Christian Stanton and Joanne Podell of Cushman & Wakefield represented TD Bank.
Lee & Associates NYC has arranged a long-term lease for fresh & co. at 1260 Lexington Ave., after relocating the former tenant, Chirping Chicken, to 1560 Second Ave. Lee NYC senior managing director and principal Brad Schwarz held the exclusive agency for the 1,200-square-foot Lexington Avenue space. Schwarz also represented the property's owners and managers, Jason and Ryan Sorkin, principals of Sierra Assets.
