LOS ANGELES—The Dinerstein Cos. has completed construction of its luxury multifamily complex, Millennium del Rey. The 196-unit apartment complex, which welcomes its first residents this month, has a LEED-Gold certification and Smart Home Technology.

“Blending high-tech conveniences and green design in a superb locale close to LAX, major aviation corridor businesses, Silicon Beach tech startups and the Marina, the Millennium offers an ultramodern living experience allowing you to work, live and play in close proximity to one another,” says Josh Vasbinder, the West Coast partner at the Dinerstein Cos.

The property has one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 775 to 2,168 square feet. Meeting LEED-Gold standards, the property has Energy Star appliances in each of the units as well as energy efficient heating, air conditioning and lighting. Some of the units feature built-in Apple TVs and high-tech systems that allow residents to control the lighting, sound system and other in-home amenities. Ideally located on the corner of Grosvenor and Jefferson Blvd. in West Los Angeles, the complex has a wide-range of amenities, including a dog park, surfboard station, a resort-style pool and spa, onsite car charging stations and a demonstration kitchen.

Many new construction apartment buildings are adopting LEED-certified standards. In an earlier story, GlobeSt.com reported that the Current, a 17-story luxury apartment building in Long Beach expects to earn LEED-Gold certification as well, once completed in 2016. The $70-million development is the first ground-up high rise development to go up in the market since the recession.
