HOUSTON–El Tiempo Cantina has signed a lease for 7,000 square feet in the AmREIT-owned Woodlake Square shopping center. This will be the seventh location for the Tex-Mex restaurant.

“For the past 55 years, the Laurenzo family has been delivering one of the highest quality products, with an exceptional environment, at some of the best restaurant locations in Houston,” says Charles Scoville, senior vice president at AmREIT. “El Tiempo is a perfect fit for the center, and we believe they will both complement the other tenant offerings as well as attract customers to the center."

With this lease, the 161,000-square-foot shopping center will be 97.3% occupied. It is anchored by Randalls and Walgreens. Other tenants include Corner Bakery, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Starbucks, and Wells Fargo Bank.

AmREIT, along with joint venture partner AEW Capital Management, spent two years redeveloping the property, from 2010 to 2012. The following year, AmREIT acquired Woodlake Square from the joint venture.
