HOUSTON–Gregory Shaw has been brought on by Boyd Commercial/CORFAC International as director of office brokerage. The new hire marks an expansion in the company's focus.

“Shaw has 30 years of experience in the Houston office market in both tenant representation and landlord agency,” Principal David Boyd tells GlobeSt.com. “This allows him to hit the ground running to assist our team with existing clients as well as new business development in a very active market.”

The industry veteran will help the company expand its market coverage and grow the office service line. Previously, Boyd Commercial/CORFAC International focused the majority of its efforts on the industrial market. Shaw's attention will be on the office brokerage business, with a special emphasis on increasing tenant representation in the Houston area.

“We're known as a leading industrial brokerage company in Houston yet the fact is we've handled some significant office transactions for our corporate clients. We think there is opportunity in the office sector to increase our market share and we've tapped the right guy to do it,” Boyd says.

This hire could mean new office-related hires are in the company's future.

“Greg's specialization in the Houston office market adds a new focus for us,” Boyd says. “His experience will enable us to bring in additional team members under his wing as we grow.”

Previously, Shaw worked as managing director of Prescott Realty Group, where he oversaw asset management, leasing production and profitability. He has also been director of leasing for Insignia/ESG.
