DALLAS–SRS has hired Carissa Brown as a senior associate in the Dallas/Ft. Worth office. In her new role, Brown will specialize on tenant representation, landlord representation and SRS Urban services.

Prior to joining SRS, Brown worked at Venture Commercial. There she focused on site selection and market expansion strategies for retailers. Before her time at Venture Commercial, she starts an e-commerce designer apparel company.

“Brown's experience in e-commerce gives her a different perspective as to how and why the retail real estate landscape is shifting,” executives at SRS tell GlobeSt.com. “She understands what it takes to develop a successful brand and how to continually serve the customer base with what they desire. As shoppers start to demand an experience when they visit a store, Carissa knows how to select sites for retailers that will engage the consumer and keep them returning regularly.”

This is the second recent hire for SRS. As GlobeSt.com reported, SRS welcomed T.J. Powell as first vice president in the Austin office, where he will focus on tenant and landlord representation.

The firm is looking to their numbers by adding to the landlord representation and investment sales teams in the Dallas market.

Dallas-based SRS was founded in 1986, and is now one of the largest real estate companies in the US dedicated to retail services.
