AMES, IA—Parents have become increasingly willing to pay universities for high-quality student housing, and schools have responded. Iowa State University, for example, is just the latest major Midwest university to select the Opus Group to develop a student residential complex filled with amenities.
The company will build The Foundry, a six-story building which will have 53 units and 144 bedrooms, at the gateway to the university’s campus in Ames, IA. It will also include 7,500-square-feet of ground-level retail space, and residents will have access to a large fitness center, study lounges, game room, private heated underground parking and common areas. Students will have the option of living in units with two- or four-bedrooms.
