PHOENIX—Clarence Nunn, a GE company officer, is the new president and CEO of GE Capital's Franchise Finance business based in Scottsdale. He was most recently the chief commercial officer of GE Capital's commercial lending and leasing business in the Americas.
Nunn joined GE in 1992 and has held roles of increasing responsibility across a number of GE businesses. In 2011, he was inducted into the Executive Leadership Council, a leading council of the highest-ranking African Americans in corporate America. He was also named one of the “100 Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America” by Black Enterprise Magazine.
“After 22 years with GE, I've gained experience on both the financial and industrial sides of the business, I bring a strong understanding of the challenges faced by our core customers—mid-market businesses—and what's needed to help owners and operators succeed. In my new role,” Nunn tells GlobeSt.com. “ I will support franchisees by delivering innovation in financing and value-added services that both extend our value proposition and leverage our global company.”
A native of Los Angeles, he received a B.A. in marketing from San Diego State University and an MBA in marketing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
