NEWARK, NJ–NAI James E. Hanson has completed a five-year, 9,000-square-foot office lease with a private Christian college at the Military Park Building here.
NAI Hanson's Louis Tapia represented the tenant, Pillar College, in the transaction at 60 Park Place.
“The college was looking for a central location with easy access to public transportation in Newark,” Tapia said. “With multiple mass transit options along with a plethora of dining and retail options, the historic Military Park Building was a perfect fit.”
The Military Park Building, which for a long time was the tallest in New Jersey, is situated a few blocks from Newark Penn Station and is surrounded by multiple light rail stations and bus stops
Pillar College was formerly known as Somerset Christian College and was based in Franklin Township for nearly a century. Its original campus in Somerset was destroyed in Tropical Storm Irene three years ago.
Since then it has established and now expanded a Newark campus.
