BOZEMAN, MT—Dallas-based Fountain Residential Partners has broken ground on a 499-bed off campus luxury student housing development. The development will serve the student population of Montana State University here in Bozeman, MT.

Fountain Residential Partners president, Brent Little, tells GlobeSt.com that “this is the first phase of a 127-acre master development plan directly adjacent to Montana State University.” He also points out that it is “the first private off campus purpose built student housing serving the largest university in the state of Montana.”

The project will be completed for initial occupancy for the fall semester of 2015.

Fountain has quickly become one of the most active student housing developers in the country, having started construction on nine walk-to-campus locations. “The trend is in walk to campus locations,” Little tells GlobeSt.com. “Students want the amenities and luxury of the finest off campus accommodations, but still want the level of access to Greek life, intramurals, and the on campus daily experience, without the hassles of parking, shuttles, and commuting.”

He adds that resort style pools are great, “but not when they are three miles away from campus and it is 20 below.”

The latest project, Stadium View apartment homes, will be located just south of the Montana State University campus and adjacent to Bobcat Stadium. The design concept, inspired by the contemporary architecture of the urban northwest, will accommodate 499 students with 5,000 square feet of leasing and amenity space, and 1,600 square feet of restaurant and commercial space fronting on 11th Street. Eight three-story buildings will provide excellent views of the stadium, perfect for tailgating, and offer unit and community amenities not present in the marketplace today.

Fountain vice president Ryan Griffis notes, “We have long recognized the demand in the MSU market for additional quality housing offerings. There simply is not a better location for a development of this quality and scale and we feel fortunate to be able to transform the property into a mixed-use community that the neighborhood, students, and the university can be proud of.”

Fountain's modern designs provide students with best-in-class amenities with condo-like finishes that include keyless entry, open floor plans, designer cabinets and countertops, stainless steel appliances, wood look flooring, flat screen TV's with DVR's, European influenced furnishings, high end lighting, and Wi-Fi throughout the buildings. The 5,000-square-foot amenity center will provide for the fitness, study, and creature comforts of the student with the design elements of a high end hotel and spa. An on-site retail and restaurant location will provide the MSU community with their first true mixed-use living environment.

The luxury development will offer one-, two-, four-, and five-bedroom floor plans featuring fully furnished apartments, with electricity, internet, cable TV, gas, and washer/dryer included. Apartments are leased by the bedroom, with most rental rates under $600 per month and include accommodations and amenities not available elsewhere in the market. Picnic areas with tables and grills, a community hot tub, bike shop, ski and equipment storage, along with plentiful bike and car parking round out the amenities located throughout the 10-acre development. Our onsite management company, Grand Campus Living, features a progressive resident life program, featuring everything from roommate mixers, late-night study sessions in our student center to outdoor tailgating and Pet Friendly Yappy Hours for our smallest residents. We consider Stadium Village an extension of college life and care about making this the best experience possible for students.
