CHICAGO—MB Real Estate Inc. has just hired Todd Piccolo, who will join the firm as vice president in the firm's MBRE Healthcare division. Company officials say the move is part of its continuing effort to expand its portfolio across the nation.

In his new role, Piccolo will take responsibility for business development with health systems and physician groups.

Piccolo “brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry to his role,” says Peter Westmeyer, executive vice president for MB Real Estate and co-principal for MBRE Healthcare. “His industry acumen and insight certainly enhance the breadth of services we are able to offer. In addition, his relationships in the industry are phenomenal.”

Prior to this, Piccolo was employed with Merge Healthcare in Chicago where he led the firm's business development and managed 15 net-new health systems valued at more than $40 million in potential revenue. He also founded and co-owns Pan American Recruiters, an immigration and recruitment company focused on placing nurses and physical therapists from the Philippines throughout the United States in order to combat the shortage of nurses across the country.

He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, IA and currently resides in Ivanhoe, IL.
