HOUSTON–Golfsmith has expanded in the Houston market with the opening of its sixth local store. The latest facility, a 26,000-square-foot superstore, officially opened this week in the Champions neighborhood.
“Houston has been a key Golfsmith market since we opened up our first store here nearly 20 years ago, with a dedicated golf community supporting our success and growth,” says Lisa Zoellner, Golfsmith International chief marketing officer.
The latest Golfsmith sits near Willowbrook Mall, in Northwest Houston on FM 1960.
This location includes four custom fitting studios, an expansive putting green and an interactive, try-before-you-buy environment, which allows golfers to consult with Golfsmith experts to test and select gear perfect for their game.
“The Champions area is filled with a number of top-rated courses, and is underserved when it comes to the kind of unique golf store experience Golfsmith delivers,” Zoellner says.
Golfsmith International is an Austin-based company which operates more than 150 golf specialty retail locations throughout the US and Canada. Other Houston locations include Houston Baybrook, Houston Galleria and Houston Woodlands.
