HOUSTON–Blinds.com has expanded within 10255 Richmond Ave. The locally based company, which is a trademark of Global Custom Commerce Inc., will now occupy 55,470 square feet.

“This is an excellent location for a growing company,” said Steve Rocher of CBRE Houston, in a statement. “The Westchase District is central to several major areas of the city that continue to attract young talent.” CBRE declined to comment beyond the release.

Blinds.com initially moved into the space 16 months ago. The new lease will nearly double the company's space.

CBRE's Rocher, Kristen Rabel and Parker Duffie represented landlord BMS Management, while Doug Freedman of United Equities represented Blinds.com.

In January 2014, Blinds.com, which was found and headquartered in Houston, merged with Atlanta-based The Home Depot.
