NEW YORK CITY—Finally, it appears that tenants are considering space at the World Trade Center. One fashion company is reportedly looking to sign a lease at 1 World Trade Center while a technology firm also is interested and a third organization is eyeing 4 World Trade Center.

Men's clothier Hugo Boss is in “serious talks” with 1 WTC owners, the Port Authority Of NY &NJ and the Durst Organization for office space at the tower, according to the New York Post. Hugo Boss is now headquartered at the Starrett-Lehigh Building on far West 26th Street.

However, reports of the lease being imminent, and of it being taken for 100,000 square feet of space, are inaccurate, GlobeSt.com has learned from sources who asked not to reveal their identity. The deal isn't likely happening soon and it would be for a smaller space; further details were not available.

Meanwhile, technology firm Percolate is in talks for 50,000 square feet of space at 1 WTC, the Post reports. Again, GlobeSt.com has learned it may be some time before this lease gets signed but was unable to confirm the size of the lease.

Over at 4 World Trade, technology firm MediaMath is said to be considering 120,000 square feet, but GlobeSt.com was unable to confirm that information. The company now is at 1400 Broadway.

Calls seeking comment to the Port Authority and Durst were not returned at press time. Spokesmen for Silverstein and CBRE—which, respectively, own and lease 4 WTC—declined to comment.

Word of these leases comes just on the heels of some controversy over 3 WTC, for which Silverstein is seeking more capital.
