Turn and Face the Strange

LAS VEGAS–Changes in the scheduling aren't the only changes ongoing at RECon 2014.

LAS VEGAS–RECon’s schedule may change, but retail concerns certainly have not. The challenge of e-commerce and how best to partner with it remains a focus here, particularly as it results in evolutions to store and center design.

One of the discussions of the show is the opening of the Leasing Mall on Sunday this year, rather than the traditional Monday, shaving a day off the schedule. Foot traffic appeared relatively light at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Sunday, as many attendees arrived late that day (a lot of people reported graduations). I’ve been told, however, that the meetings that were held were longer than normal and extremely productive.
