LAS VEGAS-In an expansive interview at RECon 2014, Anuj Puri, who heads Indian operations for JLL, discusses the problems and the promise of the country's political turmoil. A new government is now in place, making all of the right promises, says Puri, but it was less than a week old when this interview took place, so a clear direction for the economy had yet to be cemented. What impact the government, making promises of sweeping change, will have on the economy, investment and the retail segment of the CRE industry all come under Puri's scrutiny.

You will hear:

  • How the country has reacted to the trend of companies reshoring on US turf;
  • Which retailers from the US are allowed, and which are not—and why; and
  • The outlook for investment of foreign capital.
