MILWAUKEE—HSA Commercial Real Estate's effort to fully transform a collection of obsolete suburban warehouses into an upscale retail center just got another boost. DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse has executed a lease for an 18,072-square-foot space at the Wauwatosa site, dubbed the Mayfair Collection, and will open this fall.

Chicago-based HSA officially opened the development's roughly 270,000-square-foot first phase on April 3. DSW will join Nordstrom Rack, Dick's Sporting Goods, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Ulta Beauty, and other stores at the site.

“We are very excited to have DSW as part of the Mayfair Collection,” says Tim Blum, HSA's executive vice president of retail development. “We believe that DSW has the exact type of branding, merchandising, and service that will complement the line-up of stores that are now open.”

The company has repurposed functionally obsolete warehouse buildings along Highway 45 into new, contemporary retail environments. As reported in GlobeSt.com, Whole Foods Market recently signed a 45,150-square-foot lease to anchor the project's second phase. DSW will relocate from its existing location at the southwest corner of North Ave. and Mayfair Rd.
