WOODBRIDGE, NJAdvance Realty and F. Greek Development have begun work on a 190,000-square-foot refrigerated warehouse and distribution building here that is pre-leased to Preferred Freezer Services, a national operator.

The facility is being built on a 9.3-acre site at 275 Blair Road for completion next year.

Advance 's president, Peter J. Cocoziello, said the project site is a key location and the new facility will be state-of-the-art . He also said he expects other corporations to “follow Preferred Freezer's lead in developing tailored industrial facilities in the region.”

Frank Greek, president of the central New Jersey firm that bears his name, added that the project has “personalized features” for Preferred and that it will also benefit the Woodbridge community with new jobs.

”Preferred Freezer is pleased to have the opportunity to leverage the many advantages that our new customized facility will offer,” said the company's president, Galiher. “The temperature-controlled warehouse will specifically cater to all of our needs as a company and, as a value-add, will place us in the heart of New Jersey's industrial market.”

The facility is close to Newark Liberty International Airport and the Port Newark/Elizabeth Marine Terminal. The site also offers easy access to key New Jersey roadways including the New Jersey Turnpike.

Preferred Freezer Services operates temperature-controlled warehouses throughout the United States and Asia. It has grown from a single facility in 1989 to 35 locations.
