LOS ANGELES—CBRE has hired Eric Hasserjian as managing director of the firm's asset services for the Los Angeles region. As managing director, Hasserjian will oversee more than 35 million square feet of properties under management. This portfolio is not limited to a specific sector, covering office, industrial and retail property types.

"CBRE is a world class organization that gives me a platform to use my experience to provide excellent service for our clients, Hasserjian tells GlobeSt.com. "In my past experience I was able to bring geographically disparate teams together. In this new role I'll be overseeing approximately 150 employees throughout the entire L.A. region, and I want to utilize my skills coming from the landlord side of the business to retain and expand our business with our institutional clients."

Prior to joining CBRE, Hasserjian served as senior managing director at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where he oversaw the landlord representation business in the Southern California market. His 25-year career, however, does not stop there. He served as an SVP at Arden Realty. Also covering the Los Angeles region, he oversaw a leasing and management portfolio of more than 13-million-square-feet. He has experience in property operations, value-add repositioning, acquisitions, dispositions and leasing, all of which he can leverage in this new position.

“Having worked for multiple owners and third party management companies, Eric brings a landlord's approach to our management business,” says Robert Peddicord, executive managing director of asset services for the western division.  “He's a natural leader with proven success in creating value for his client's real estate assets and we're thrilled to bring an executive of his caliber to CBRE to lead our asset services business in Greater Los Angeles.”

Earlier this year, CBRE also expanded its capital markets business-lending group, an SBA 504-focused group, with the additions of Robert “RJ” Luth, Jr., Robert Doxsee and Daniel Eshbaugh. Luth and Doxsee join the firm as VP and Eshbaugh joins as director.
