KINGSVILLE, TX–Domus Development has started work on a new luxury, off-campus student housing community for Texas A&M Kingsville. Legends Kingsville will open in August 2015, housing 504 beds. The project is estimated to cost $22 million

“Kingsville has such a rich significance in Texas history with the King Ranch and Naval Air Station Kingsville,” says Eric Jakimier, owner of Domus Development. “We look forward to continuing the tradition of blending modernity and history by giving residents a new, contemporary living environment that reflects the natural beauty of Kingsville. This community will truly be one-of-a-kind for the area.”

Spaces will include one-, two- and four-bedroom options. Each apartment will come fully furnished with appliances, granite countertops, hardwood-style clothing, ceiling fans and a full sized washer/dryer.

Amenities for the students will include a resort-style pool, sand volleyball court, multiple grills, a fitness club, clubhouse with game room, high-speed wifi and a computer lounge.

Residents will be able to sign leases for their beds rather than the full apartment, so they are not responsible for the entire space.

Domus has a second phase proposed for Legends Kingsville, but details of the potential second phase have not been made public.

Asset Campus Housing has been tapped to manage the community. This is the fourth project that Dallas-based Domus and ACH have coordinated on. Recently, ACH was able to fully lease Mustang Ranch, a student housing community developed by Domus in Stephensville, TX.
