NEW YORK CITY—HFF has hired power broker Eric Michael Anton as a senior managing director focused on investment sales here.

He joins HFF from Brookfield Financial, where he spent the last three years as a managing partner in the New York office. Anton has more than 22 years of investment sales and capital markets real estate experience and has completed more than $7 billion in transactions during the course of his career.

“The addition of Eric Anton will help us significantly move towards our goal of growing market share in New York,” says Andrew Scandalios, senior managing director and co-head of HFF's New York office.

“HFF is one of the top firms nationwide for investment sales and debt/equity placement,” adds Anton, who recently sold a $105 million property in the Meatpacking District. He also has a track record of recruiting and developing new and young brokers. “I enjoy building teams and especially relish mentoring the next generation of real estate specialists. I look forward to making the New York City investment sales team into the dominant player in the market.”
