KANSAS CITY, MO—As reported in GlobeSt.com, this city has recently attracted a host of companies that supply its burgeoning auto industry, and even tech companies have started to set up shop here. And Targeted Metrics, a new information and services company, has just selected Kansas City for its headquarters and sales operations center. Company officials say they will make a $5.8 million capital investment and create up to 535 new jobs over the next two years.

“We were impressed with Kansas City from day one of our location search,” says Mike McGuire, a director of Targeted Metrics. “The Kansas City market offers us a tremendous growth opportunity plus access to an existing available skilled workforce that values high productivity.”

Targeted Metrics looked at multiple locations across the US before selecting the Kansas City region, he adds. The company will initially lease 15,000-square-feet at 1504 NW Vivion Rd. in the Northland area, and over the next two years, plans to expand to 60,000-square-feet. It plans to hire 100% of its employees in Kansas City.

“The Kansas City area is getting major buzz across the US as a great metropolitan community where companies like Targeted Metrics can hire and attract talented people,” says Bob Marcusse, president and chief executive officer of the Kansas City Area Development Council. “It's important for our region to offer a wide variety of sustainable career opportunities at all professional levels to grow a balanced economy.”
