SAN RAMON, CA—Institutional Real Estate, Inc. says that Erika Cohen has joined the firm as chief oerations officer, replacing Mark Dohrmann.

Cohen most recently served as general manager - property management at Jones Lang LaSalle's Denver office, where she managed daily operations, the annual budget, all construction projects, as well as building tenant relationships and oversight of the operations staff.
“We are delighted to have a person with Erika's background and depth of experience join our team," says Geoffrey Dohrmann, IREI's CEO. “We expect Erika's skills in the areas of management and operational control will augment recent developments at our firm, propelling us to new heights as a leader in the institutional investing markets we have served for more than 25 years.”
In her role as COO, Cohen will assume responsibilities for all of IREI's general operations, reporting to directly to the CEO. Cohen's experience in the commercial real estate industry adds depth to the IREI team. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon. As chief operating officer she assumes responsibility for the company's finances as well as oversight for each of IREI's non-sales departments, including dditorial, marketing, events and data services. She relieves Dohrmann, who will remain as a member of the IREI Board of Directors and a consultant on special projects.
