NEWPORT BEACH, CA—Green Street Advisors and Golden Gate Capital have reached an agreement wherein Golden Gate will obtain a majority stake in Green Street. Green Street is a leading provider of research, analytics, and advisory & consulting services to the CRE industry.

Golden Gate Capital is a leading investment firm with extensive experience in real estate and information services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Green Street says it is “uniquely positioned at the crossroads of the public and private commercial real estate markets, from which it provides market-leading information, analytics and insights to both.”

The Green Street leadership team, including all 12 managing directors, will continue in their current roles and retain a substantial investment in the firm alongside Golden Gate. The partnership with Golden Gate will support Green Street's business strategy and accelerate the firm's ongoing investments in intellectual capital, new product development and data to better serve the firm's

customers and enhance long term growth.

Closing of the transaction is subject to all necessary regulatory and other approvals.
