HOUSTON–The Retail Connection and Long Wharf Real Estate Partners have purchased Woodpark Plaza. The 143,850-square-foot shopping center was sold for an undisclosed sum.
Located on the northwest corner of I 45 and Briar Rock Road in the Woodlands, the retail center was sold by a joint venture of Eagle Equity and NDC Capital Partners.
“Woodpark Plaza is a center which will provide value creation through a remerchandising strategy and aesthetic upgrades. With construction of the 12,000 employee Exxon Mobile 385-acre office complex just 1.8 miles from center, leasing momentum is gaining fast,” says Steve Hefner, president of Connected Acquisitions, The Retail Connection.
The shopping center is 100% occupied, with anchor tenants Jo-Ann Stores, Ashley Furniture and Golfsmith. Other tenants include SAS Shoes, HoneyBaked Ham, The Rustic Mile and Fitness Unlimited.
This purchase is The Retail Connection's second in the Houston area and brings the company's local portfolio to more than 500,000 square feet
