PHOENIX—Butler Burgher Group, a national commercial real estate valuation and assessment firm, is building its Phoenix presence. Appraisal professionals Jay Ramos and Anthony K. Valenzuela have joined the BBG team as directors of the Phoenix office.

Ramos previously served as a director with the valuation and advisory services team at CBRE where he led the hospitality and retail specialty areas for the company in the central and northern Arizona markets. He is the 2015 president elect for the Phoenix Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Prior to his time at CBRE, Ramos worked in the investment banking industry for 10 years and served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Missouri (BB-63) from 1990 to 1993.

Valenzuela previously served as vice president of the valuation and advisory services team at CBRE, where he led the local multifamily practice. He brings experience across a wide range of commercial property types including multifamily, student housing, affordable housing, high-rise office towers, data centers, healthcare facilities, high-profile retail centers and industrial parks. Valenzuela previously served as a senior appraiser for Strategic Valuation Group, and started his career as a researcher and appraiser for CBRE.

Other new Phoenix team members include Erin Bowen, analyst, and Arielle Litt, junior analyst, who will both be part of Ramos' team.
