SAN MATEO, CA—New Home Company has broken ground on 76 waterfront condos on a 2.9 acre site here, and hopes to start selling units this fall.

According to a story in the San Francisco Business Times, the project is called Tidelands and will include homes ranging from 925 to about 1,500 square feet. The units will be price from the low $800,000s.

The company's president for Northern California told the business publication that there is a strong demand on the Peninsula for the type of housing that Tidelands will offer.

New Home is a publicly traded homebuilder based in Walnut Creek, and has a national pipeline of around 6,000 housing units more than 1,100 of which are in the Bay Area. New Home also recently started work on Woodbury, a 56-unit project in Lafayette.
