SAN ANTONIO–La Cantera Hill Country Resort is about to undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation. The project will expand the entire 250 acres of the local property. The luxury resort is managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts.
“This substantial upgrade will allow the Resort to enhance its spectacular setting and the exceptional amenities guests have come to expect,” says Destination Hotels & Resorts President and COO Jamie Sabatier. “It will also continue to position La Cantera Hill Country Resort as a world-class destination.”
The renovation plan calls for the development of a freestanding spa; a reconfiguration of the front entrance, lobby and lobby bar; a redesign of the San Saba Courtyard; the creation of a junior ballroom; expanded meeting and convention space; redefined restaurants, bar and lounge; as well as the recreation of the swimming pools and family areas.
This project is the most extensive renovation the property has seen since its opening in 1999. The resort will be closed to overnight guests from November 3, 2014 through the beginning part of April 2015. The two golf courses, the Resort Course and the Palmer Course, and their corresponding event space will remain open throughout construction.
