DALLAS–Sidley Austin has preleased 75,000 square feet in the office building under construction at 2021 McKinney Ave. in Uptown Dallas. The company will occupy the top two floors in the 480,000-square-feet McKinney & Olive property.
“The top floors at McKinney & Olive will arguably be the most attractive and unique address in Dallas,” says Craig Wilson, executive managing director of Cassidy Turley. “It is fitting that Sidley, one of the world's preeminent law firms, will call it their home in North Texas.”
Earlier in the year, Sidley Austin relocated to Trammell Crow Center. The new building, when complete, will allow the law firm to support future operations in a new, long-term office. The lease terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Sidley is excited to become a major tenant in Crescent's beautiful new McKinney & Olive development,” says Yvette Ostolaza, Sidley's Dallas office managing partner, in a statement. “The quality of the building, its location and its ownership were all factors that convinced us McKinney & Olive was the best location for us to continue our growth and success in Texas.”
Ground broke on the new spec office project in June. The class A office building will sit adjacent to The Ritz-Carlton Dallas. Crescent Real Estate Holdings is developing the building.
Cassidy Turley's Wilson and Rand Cooper represented Sidley Austin. Crescent Real Estate Holdings was self-represented by John Zogg.
