Affordable Housing Start to Help Sandy Seniors

WARETOWN, NJ—In an EXCLUSIVE interview with GlobeSt.com, developer Ingerman's Lara Schwager, talks about building an affordable-housing development that will house seniors, many of which were victims of Sandy.

WARETOWN, NJ—A ground-breaking ceremony scheduled to take place later today will introduce The Willows at Waretown here, a three-story, elevatored, affordable-housing-apartment community, geared toward senior residents, that will have 76 units.

Though leasing has not started on the project, there is already interest from several seniors who were relocated from Hurricane Sandy, Lara Schwager, development principal at Ingerman, the Cherry Hill, NJ-based multifamily firm that is constructing the project, tells GlobeSt.com, in a pre-ground-breaking interview.
