MOORPARK, CA—Nadel Architects has completed the renovations of Moorpark Town Center, a 140,000-square-foot shopping center in Moorpark, CA. The architectural firm redesigned the building exterior in a project that lasted more than two years.

"The facade remodel has breathed new life into the center,” David Anderson, AIA, project director and Los Angeles retail studio director at Nadel Architects, tells GlobeSt.com. “The addition of towers and enhanced canopies creates a village-environment which serves to enhance the shoppers experience."

Sunbelt Enterprises, the owner of the shopping center, tapped Nadel to design a more interesting exterior. Nadel created a Mediterranean-type village with towers, a tiled roof, trellises, new lighting and new landscaping. The renovation also added an outdoor plaza to the center. Currently, the center's tenants include CVS/pharmacy, Chase, Papa Johns, Sherwin Williams, Round Table and Taco Bell.

In addition to Anderson, the design team includes Nadel project manager Keith Martinez as well as Richard Green, VP of Sunbelt Enterprises, Kulwant Brahm structural engineer of BP Consulting Services, and Lino Palmieri, electrical engineer of Palmieri & Associates.

Nadel's retail team is no stranger to enhancing the design appeal of Los Angeles shopping centers. Late last year, the company began executing their design of the Regency Center's Juanita Tate shopping center, a $21 million development already leased to tenants including Northgate Gonzalez Markets, CVS, Starbucks and Panda Express.
