AVENTURA, FL—The luxury housing project Privé has secured a key approval—a permit to install a second sidewalk on the South Island at Island Estates—that its developer says will help facilitate the project's groundbreaking this August.

The luxury 160-unit development is being co-developed by BH3 and developer Gary Cohen. “While seemingly a minor issue, the residents of the South Island made grand efforts to seek to stall the Privé project as a result of this requirement,” says Cohen. “We are satisfied that the City of Aventura carefully vetted and approved our application, thus enabling us to fulfill our intent to comply with this requirement and provide us with the necessary approvals to proceed."

Designed by Sieger Suarez, Privé's twin 16-story towers will rise above the exclusive, eight-acre north island located between Williams Island and Sunny Isles Beach. The residences wil range in size from 2,585 square feet to more than 9,000 square feet in select penthouse units. Each residence will include private elevator entry, flow-through floor plans with 10-foot glass on both eastern and western exposures, 10-foot deep balconies, expansive east/west water views throughout, European kitchens and bathrooms, as well as outdoor summer kitchens.

First-class, resort-style amenities and services will include a 10,000 square-foot gym and spa in each tower, private dining and social rooms, pool-side café, wine and cigar rooms, kids rooms, tennis court, two pools, marina, private pier, nature trail, private beach, jogging path, full-time concierge, and 24-hour gated and roving security for the privately bridged island.
