POMONA, CA—Seventh Street has broken ground on the fourth and final construction phase of the 91-acre Mission 71 Business Park, a 2-million-square-foot industrial development in Pomona, CA. The fourth construction phase will cost $40 million and consists of a four-building facility totaling 500,000 square feet.

Dubbed Mission 71, the fourth phase sits on 23 acres. The four building range in size from 67,000 square feet to 201,000 square feet. The buildings feature 30- to 32-foot clear heights, ESFR sprinkler systems, all-concrete truck courts and 6,000 square feet of office space. Developers expect the project to be completed in the first quarter of 2015. Seventh Street is currently in escrow on one of the four buildings. The company did not disclose the potential seller or respond to a request for comment on the project before the publications of this story.

The fourth construction phase is beginning at the completion of the third phase, a 463,000-square-foot, four-building facility. All four buildings in the third phase have been committed to buyers in sales that totaled $48 million. The buyers of the four buildings are Kittrich Corp., Vertex China and ALS Group and Unipac/Continental Shipping. The larger development is located at the former General Dynamics Military Facility. The development has a total of 15 buildings, all of which are committed to buyers.

Construction of the fourth phase of the project began in June of 2013 after Seventh Street purchased the 23-acre land site. In total, the whole project has generated $2.5 million for the local economy, and it will provide 1,750 permanent jobs.
