NEW CITY, NY—Rockland County, which has suffered for years with mounting deficits from the Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Care Center, reports it has finalized an agreement to sell the Pomona-based complex for $36 million.

Rockland County Executive Ed Day in a press conference on Wednesday at his offices in New City revealed that the Rockland County Health Facilities Corp., a Local Development Corporation established in 2013 to sell the 57-bed long-term acute care hospital and the 321-bed nursing home, had finalized an agreement to sell the Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Home to Shalom Braunstein of Monsey, NY, manager of the purchaser Summit Park Acquisition Group.
