RUTHERFORD, NJ—Colliers International has arranged a long-term, 18,768 SF lease for Clermont Specialty Managers, a W. R. Berkley company, at the Meadows Office Complex at 301 Route 17 North here.

The commercial property casualty insurance provider will relocate from its current New Jersey office in Hackensack. Clermont will occupy the space in late summer, pending build out of the custom-designed space on the 9th floor. The 600,000-square-foot commercial building is owned and managed by Onyx Equities.

"The asset's recent capital improvements, including the addition of a new cafeteria, conference rooms, and fitness center, among others, were a major draw for our client," says Howard Kaplowitz, a senior managing director with Colliers International, who along with executive managing director John Cunningham represented the tenant in the transaction. “The Class-A unit will also accommodate Clermont Specialty Managers' space needs as the company continues to expand.”

Because it is located directly off the New Jersey Turnpike on Route 17, The Meadows Office Complex is easily accessible by both the company's employees and its customers and is easily accessible to Manhattan, Cunningham says.

Tim Greiner of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, represented the landlord in the transaction.
