CHICAGO—Jill Kouri, a veteran marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience, has just joined JLL as its new chief marketing officer, Americas. Kouri will be based in Chicago and serve as a member of the firm's Americas Executive Committee and Global Marketing Leadership Team.
Kouri just spent 14 years at Accenture in various marketing roles, and will now oversee all aspects of JLL's marketing and communications programs. She will help handle business development, branding, public relations and internal communications. One of her main tasks will be designing strategies to promote the firm's new brand.
A reported in GlobeSt.com, earlier this year the company began dropping the old Jones Lang LaSalle moniker in favor of the simpler JLL. Company officials said that with so many consumers and businesses now accessing real estate information from their mobile devices, JLL wanted to shrink its name and reduce visual clutter on these now-ubiquitous small screens. The now-global business also wanted to make it easier for non-English speaking clients and partners to remember the company name.
“Jill's experience and expertise will be instrumental as we drive toward our strategic growth goals,” says Greg O'Brien, JLL chief executive officer, Americas. “We were impressed by her strong track record, creativity and commitment to client service. Jill will prove to be a key driver in JLL's journey to evolve and change the way we develop, and build and market our brand, both in the Americas and across the world.”
Kouri worked most recently as managing director and global head of marketing for Accenture's Products Operating Group – a $6.8 billion business that includes retail, consumer goods and life sciences. She also has worked throughout the Americas and in key European countries, as well as Singapore, Japan and China.
