TUCKER, GA—British multinational infrastructure, manufacturing and process provider AMEC's U.S. Power & Process business has expanded its presence at the Lakeside Center office park here.

AMEC's Power & Process Americas business has signed a lease renewal and expansion for 111,919 square feet of space at the property, according to Cushman & Wakefield, which represented the tenant in the transaction. AMEC is one of the world's leading engineering, project management and consultancy companies.

The long-term lease renewal expands AMEC's space in the 200,479-square-foot office building at 1979 Lakeside Parkway by 14,282 square feet. C&W's Sam Hollis, Clinton McKellar, Heather Gulesserian and Ken Ashley of the firm's brokerage group in Atlanta represented AMEC in the lease transaction. Peter McGuone of CBRE represented the owner, AEW Capital Management.

“This lease renewal enables AMEC to remain in the submarket that best suits their employees in a Class A office building that provides prominent exterior signage and excellent access to Interstates 285 and 85 while accommodating the firm's future business growth,” C&W's Hollis says. AMEC has been a tenant at Lakeside Center since 2004. The firm currently occupies all of floors four through seven at 1979 Lakeside Parkway and will expand onto part of the third floor.
