HACKENSACK, NJ Colliers International has arranged a long-term, 12,988-square-foot lease for home health and hospice care company Amedisys, on behalf of ownership at 21 Main Street in Hackensack, one of three buildings in a complex known as Court Plaza. The national company, headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, will relocate its New Jersey office from 25 East Salem Street to 21 Main Street pending build-out of its space, which will be used for its local and regional administration offices.

The three-story, 160,000-square-foot office building is connected to the two other buildings by a covered parking garage reserved for tenants and visitors. Colliers International is the exclusive leasing agent for the class-A buildings, near the Bergen County Courthouse and home to many of the county's most prestigious law firms.

Amedisys is a solid credit tenant, a leader in the home health and hospice care industry, and a fitting addition to Court Plaza,” says Richard Mirliss, an executive managing director at Colliers International, who along with senior managing director Brian Cass, exclusively represented the landlord, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, in the transaction. “The company's relocation allows them to remain in the area, while retaining and providing a better quality of life for their employees.”

"In addition to having ownership on-site, the building includes a full service cafeteria, gym, and shared conference area as part of its amenity package,” notes Cass. “Court Plaza is also a well-known landmark in Hackensack and easily accessible via Route 4 and 80.”

Amedisys provides personalized home health and hospice care to approximately 380,000 patients each year, and is a post-acute care partner to more than 2,233 hospitals and 61,900 physicians across the country.

Robert Wolfle of Swearingen Realty, represented the tenant in the transaction.
