NEW YORK CITY—Avison Young has hired 11 professionals to join its expanding platform in the tri-state region, GlobeSt.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY.

“As we continue our expansion in New York City and the tri-state region, we remain committed to providing best-in-class services to our growing client base,” says Arthur Mirante, Avison Young principal and tri-state president. “The addition of these professionals will increase our capabilities throughout a broad range of platforms, including investment sales, capital markets, retail services, valuation and tenant and landlord representation.”

The new hires include John Farrell and William Picoli, who both join the valuation and advisory group as SVPs. Both analysts previously were with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where Farrell was managing director and Picoli was senior managing director. At Avison, Farrell will be responsible for business development, providing valuation and consulting services to clients, and mentoring the firm's junior staff. Picoli will provide consulting and valuation services, litigation support, market analysis, highest and best use and land development analysis for a broad spectrum of property types and clients nationwide, with a focus on the New York Metropolitan area.
