CHICAGO—JLL has just filled two of its key global roles with veterans of the firm. Effective September 1, Parikshat Suri will move from the role of chief financial officer for JLL India and become the company's Chicago-based global internal audit director. He will succeed James C. “Corey” Lewis, who the company has named global account lead for JLL's HSBC team.

Suri will manage the firm's internal audit function, develop and execute risk-based audit plans and processes, and oversee the firm's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program. He joined JLL after it acquired the India operations of Trammell Crow Meghraj in 2007 and became chief financial officer for India in 2008. He will report directly to David B. Rickard, chairman of the audit committee of JLL's board of directors, and internally to Christie B. Kelly, JLL's chief financial officer.

“JLL is recognized consistently for its commitment to transparency, ethics and integrity by esteemed institutions such as the Ethisphere Institute,” says Rickard. “The global internal audit director plays a key role in maintaining the high standards of governance that help the firm maintain this level of achievement,” said Rickard. “Corey has done an excellent job and has established a solid foundation for Parikshat to lead the firm's internal audit group.”

Suri, has more than 20 years of finance and business accounting experience, and held the position of chief financial officer for Citi Technology Services Ltd., a subsidiary of Citigroup, before joining JLL. He previously worked with Motorola both in India and Chicago.

Lewis, meanwhile, will take over as the London-based global account lead for JLL's 1,800-person HSBC team. He will manage comprehensive services that JLL provides to HSBC in what company officials call the world's largest financial services real estate outsourcing assignment globally. JLL handles transactions and contracts, workplace strategy and space data management, and communications and information systems for HSBC's roughly 47-million-square-foot real estate portfolio across the Americas, Asia, Europe and MENA. Lewis will report to Bill Thummel, global client relationship manager for the HSBC account.

Lewis joined JLL in 1998 and held various positions in the Americas region, including senior vice president of corporate capital markets, chief financial officer for corporate solutions, and chief administrative officer and director of finance for tenant representation. Prior to joining JLL, Lewis held accounting and finance positions at Arthur Andersen and McDonald's.
