WASHINGTON, DC—Cohen Siegel Investors has submitted plans to the District's Zoning Commission for the first phase of its planned multifamily development at 1331 M St. SE in the Capitol Riverfront Business District.

Although the firm has filed plans and drawings, the commission is not expected to meet on the proposal until Dec. 1, according to the Washington Business Journal.

The first phase totals 800,000 square feet and will be built on a nearly three-acre lot and is to include a 10-story, 218-unit tower fronting M Street SE, with 67 underground parking spaces and 44 surface spaces.

The entire project will feature three new residential buildings—connected 10- and nine-story towers, an 11-story, 234-unit building, and a nine-story, 88-unit multifamily building. The multi-phased plan calls for 673 units and approximately 10,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Cohen Siegel is seeking the Zoning Commission's approval of its first phase and conceptual approval of the entire project. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
