FRISCO—Wade Park, the massive mixed-use lifestyle project scheduled to open in this northern Dallas suburb in spring 2016, has announced the addition of two big lifestyle tenants.
Thomas Land & Development has signed Illinois-based Pinstripes as well as Florida-based iPic Theaters as “headline entertainment” for the 175-acre center, located at the Dallas North Tollway and Lebanon Road. So far, the only other tenant that has been announced is Austin-based anchor Whole Foods Market. The project broke ground earlier this month.
“We are creating a true destination center with Wade Park, where people will enjoy a mix of one-of-a-kind dining and entertainment experiences that are unique to the area--conveniently surrounded by equally exceptional shopping, hotels, offices and residential living,” said Stan Thomas, president and CEO of Thomas Land & Development, to GlobeSt.com. "Signing iPic Theaters and Pinstripes as our premier entertainment venues builds momentum for additional retail announcements to come. We are off to a tremendous start in creating what we believe to be the most exciting development in the region."
Pinstripes will occupy 32,000 square feet and offer an idiosyncratic mix of Italian food, bocce courts and a bowling alley. Currently, there are six locations across the U.S., with three in the Chicago area. Including the Frisco venue, three more are slated for the next few years—one more in Chicago, one in Del Mar, Calif., and another in Bethesda, Md.
iPic is a luxury theater-going experience where patrons can enjoy food from a James Beard-affiliated chef and “handcrafted farm-to-glass” cocktails. While there is a location nearby in Fairview, the only other iPic in Texas is in Austin; however, one is on deck for Houston's River Oaks neighborhood.
